In a cozy atmosphere, that the neoclassic decorated restaurant creates, the “Vittucci Guests” can taste either typical “Roman Corn Gnocchi” (on Tuesday) or “Italian Potato Gnocchi” (on Thursday), or the famous Roman soup “pasta e ceci” or “baccalà” ,
on Friday.
“Abbacchio” (young lamb) in Roman style, is available all over the year. Other typical Roman dishes ( Coda alla vaccinara, trippa and coratella ) are served according to season and market availability. “Buffalo Mozarella” is a “must” for its quality.
According to the old traditon, every day (except Summer) “Giglio” prepares the typical “mixed boiled meats” dish, which is servad on a steam hot trolley, directly to your table. This particularity has made “Giglio” known in all the city of Rome and not only there.
The tradition of Tuscany is kept trough the choice of the row meats, which come directly from Chiana Valley , in that Region. In particular the famous “ bistecca alla fiorentina ” (T-bone steak) is served, as in Florence .
According to the new cusine fashion style in Italy, there are available some special “fish dishes”, where the fist quality fresh fish, coming from the nearby Tirreno Sea, is cooked in a traditional mode and following new home creations, as cooking elements and systems.
In respect of the adjacent Opera House, “Giglio” is preparing dishes related to the opera world, such as penne “in a Boheme style”, “Tosca bombolotti”, spaghetti and fettuccine made as ”Iris”, “Figaro” and “Madame Butterfly” would have made them.
At the end, there is a wine cellar, with more than 80 different types of white and red wines, chosen in all Italian Regions, on the basis of the best price/quality ratio.
